I would suggest that you do not treat your poor dog like a piece of garbage and throw her away just because all the sudden you want a rabbit.
Rabbits do not belong in sheds.
Good lord!

Where to put my father?
I want my father to move in with me and my husband, but not in the house so he will have his own space. He doesnt need alot of room, so I was thinking of maybe buying a nice 2 story shed, or building a 400sq one bed room type shed. Basically a place to sleep and watch tv, he can use my house for the rest. Anyone done this before? Anyone have any ideas, oh and of course I need this done CHEAP!! Thanks in advance.
They have really nice sheds these days that look like small house's, it would be larger then a room in my house and still give him more privacy then in my house.
Seriously yall are crazy to think I want my dad LIVING in a shed, I said a place to watch tv and sleep thats one roof and 4 walls, how did you think he was going to shower, eat, wash his cloths extc. I just want an extra room that is his.
How about a cabana?

I'm not sure of his age or health right now but, think about stairs, steps and bathroom and how the fututre could be. Older people don't do well with stairs and if they need your help this can take alot of your time so, you may want to think about a single level. One fall is all it takes.
You may be better off looking for a used camper or RV. I found a nice little camper last Febuary for $600.

Mandy asks…
Can I put a french drain behind my shed where my washing machine water runs out? How would I do this?
I kinda have an idea of how to do it but I need some more advice on this! Please help!
well it would go in a no one elses yard and I think I might use it to water yard now that I have got to thinking! well right now its running out about 5 foot from the ground and I am tired of it and I just bought the place.
Well, also figured I would put a 5 gal. drum in the ground with holes in and fill it with rock and run the hose to there, that might work too!

It can be done but the questions are:
1. Does the local authority permit such disposal of gray water? The detergents in the water can end up somewhere that is not good for the local environment.
2. Where is it going? Could it end up on or in a neighbors land?
3. French drains are usually used to take water from around a foundation or cellar and carry it to some other location such as a dry well or the normal storm drain. This is an intermittent thing and not something done are a weekly basis or more often.

Mark asks…
How much do short-haired cats actually shed? And where would be a good place for a litter-box?
I really want to know this. I'm sure that Long-haired's of course shed more.
Also! Where would be the best place to put a litter-box?
landscapeliving answers:
The bathroom is usually the best place for a litter box. It's handy for cleanups, most have tile floors (instead of carpeting), and bathrooms can be sprayed down to limit odor problems easier than other places in the house.
In my bathroom, I set an empty litter "bucket" ( with lid ), next to the litter box. Inside, I put a plastic bag and the litter scoop. As soon as a "deposit" has been made in the litter box, I scoop, toss, and close the bucket lid. No muss, no fuss, NO ODOR..........One plastic bag will last at least one week, then can be tied up and put in outside garbage can.......and replaced with new bag.......I have a bucket next to each of my ( 7 ) litter boxes.......all over the house ( 11 indoor cats!! )
Hope this helps........Good luck.

Maria asks…
Best Place to put my shed? I noticed that most ppl put their sheds in a far corner of the yard?
I was thinking of puting it closer to my house and to the side of the back to block out the nexts door house that was added on to and has windows towards my property. The shed is going to be 14 x 14 and 1 and one half story high. We have a half acre lot.
Do you think it would be odd to have it close to the house instead of way back in a corner?
Once it is up it will be hard to move it so I need to be sure of where to put it.
It would actually be less visable from my windows closer to the house.
Advise please!!
