Your Questions About Best Landscape Lighting

Paul asks…
what is the best solar powered landscape light?
I want to know what will provide excellent spotlighting for the landscape and will hold full charge providing great lighting throughout the night. Also what is easy to install. I want the most for my money
landscapeliving answers:
NONE ! Sorry to put it that way but there is no such thing a a good solar landscape light. Even though other will probably chime in saying they have some they like. You need to go with a 12 volt system which you can install yourself or the 120 volt which you will need an electrician.

Sandy asks…
whats the best solar lighting system?
I know soar lighting is sketchy at best but what brand/type have you had the best luck with. I ve tried different solar lighting products for my driveway, landscape etc. but they all seem to just crap out after a few months. Oh i m just using this for driveway and landscape not walkways
thank you
landscapeliving answers:
Dont do solar go straight to electric lights, they are the same, little look the same, but put out much more lighting, we have them all over are house, and they are great. You can get them in a kit for i think like 20-25.00 and that is like 10 lights timer wiring the whole thing, and last forever,

canon rebel T1i, nikon 5000d or pentax k-x, which is best for low light and landscape photography?
i am a newbee in the dslr world but i'm really interested in learning photography especially low light photography and landscape... but i'm also on a tight budget... i endeed up with these 3 models... the canon rebel XSi, nikon 5000d and pentax k-x... i like the canon XSi since my first point and shoot camera was canon and i heard that there are many lenses which are compatible for canon... i also like the nikon because of its video recording and swindle lcd but i heard that some lenses can't autofocus on the nikon 5000d. i also want the pentax k-x because of the available colors (red, white, navy blue...etc) and the video recording but there are issues about the battery also... so i'm confused on what to buy... i'm just a beginner so i dont know all those technical stuff...
Pls help me decide which dslr will i choose and which of them is best for low light and landscape...
THANKS A LOT ^_^
landscapeliving answers:
The K-x and T1i have superior ISO that can extend up to 12,800. If you're on a budget, I highly recommend you buy the K-x because it is in the $500-$600 range, where the T1i is in the $700-$800 range, don't buy a DSLR purely on color or video, only buy it if you know it will prove you good for a few years, and with the battery issue, what battery issue? That it takes 4AA? I look at that as an advantage, AA batteries are sold universally, and you can carry a bunch of them with you, and plus they're not expensive, but if you worry about having to go through pack after pack, this camera does take rechargeable AA batteries, but if you're talking about the life of the battery, there has been complaints about that, and Pentax has resolved it with a simple firmware update.
So overall, my choice is the K-x, cheap, and full-featured.

What is the best painting technique to capture a landscape?
I'd like to try to paint the sea, or mountains, waterfalls etc... and to accurately capture the light and shades, different colours and all. Any advice would be appreciated.
landscapeliving answers:
Contour drawing it and then painting over the sketch would work best i'd say

Suggestions for the best hot weather, long sleeved shirts to garden/landscape in?
We have a jungle of a back yard we are starting to thin. There are bugs and poison ivy, etc. It's too hot for thick long sleeves/long pants. any suggestions for lighter weight clothes that still protect against these things? Anyone tried the "wicking" athletic shirts?
landscapeliving answers:
Light cotton works best. Also light colors to reflect the sun. You could also put a long piece of wet gauze in the freezer and drape it on your neck. It really helps keep you cool.
